Director Rhona Humphreys was recently interviewed by Connect magazine for the work she does for the local charity sector.
She was the magazine’s “Charity Champion” in the October/November issue for her involvement with Guernsey Cheshire Home and for the various challenges she has undertaken to raise money for a range of charities. Rhona would encourage anyone to get involved no matter how much (or little) time you might have.
I think it’s a well publicised fact that Guernsey, like many communities, relies more and more on the valuable contribution made by our third sector. We all have something to offer and none of our local charities could survive without volunteers so I would encourage anyone to get involved whether you can offer pro bono legal advice or simply sell flags on a couple of Saturdays a year.
